Standley Lake High School is currently offering six instrumental music classes during the school day that are open to students. There are two levels of orchestra, concert band and jazz ensemble being offered. All of the classes are held in the instrumental music room on campus.
This is a full year class taught by our band teacher Ms. Duran. This is an entry level jazz ensemble class that does not always have strict jazz ensemble instrumentation. Students are highly encouraged to take a concert band class as well as a jazz class. The jazz classes are not designed to cover everything that will be need to be a well rounded brass, woodwind and percussion performer. The school does have some school instruments that can be rented on a first come first serve basis. Incoming students who might need to rent a school instrument should contact the director in the spring when they register for classes.
